Polyacrylic Acid is primarily indicated in conditions like Dry eye syndrome and for insufficient or pathological tear film e.g. in Sjogren’s syndrome, Senile & menopausal/ postmenopausal dryness of the cornea and conjunctiva, infrequent blinking (e.g. during anesthesia or during coma in an intensive care unit) and insufficient lid closures or reduced corneal sensitivity
